Music is an integral part of life at St Andrew’s with over 25 music groups which students can join such as choral, instrumental, jazz and rock.

Since 2015, learning opportunities for our young musicians and singers has been further enhanced following the complete rebuild and renovation of our Music Suite which included significant acoustic enhancement and the introduction of state-of-the-art recording equipment. This facility was totally stripped out and rebuilt with the addition of a recording studio and mixing room featuring custom made acoustic panels, specially designed for the College by Marshall Day Acoustics.

The Music Department has spent several years gathering the finest collection of recording equipment of any school in New Zealand to complement its impressive range of instruments and other musical equipment, which have the ideal home in the new Music Suite.
