The Ordination of College Chaplain, Paul Morrow on Thursday 26 September 2019, was a significant occasion for St Andrew’s College. Around 200 guests, including Paul’s proud family, joined Year 12–13 students in the Centennial Chapel to witness him take his vows. The service was presided over by the Moderator of the Alpine Presbytery, Rev. Anne Stewart, and included musical items by the combined choirs Staccoro and Stacchorus, and waiata and haka from the Years 7–8 Kapa Haka. 

Rev. Paul Morrow became the Chaplain at St Andrew’s College in 2011. At the time, the Presbytery changed its rules to support Paul’s appointment, allowing him to continue his theological education and training.

The formal recognition and ordination of Paul was recognition of his spiritual journey, theological study, and ministry to the St Andrew’s College community over many years. His role is at the heart and soul of the College, says Rector Christine Leighton.

I congratulate Paul on his ordainment and thank him for his wise, humble, servant leadership of our spiritual dimension that is so important to life at St Andrew’s.”
