College Shop – Thistles

Te toa Kāreti – Pūngitangita

The College Shop – Thistles, located next to the Normans Road carpark, adjacent to the Senior College, supplies all items of College and sports uniforms (except shoes) at all levels; all stationery required for study; and a wide range of general supplies and services including dry cleaning, clothes alterations, postal services, toiletries for boarding students, bags, phone cards and StAC branded merchandise.

Hours

The College Shop is every weekday during term time only from 7.45am–9.45am and 12.00pm–4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 7.45am–9.45am and 12.00pm–3.00pm on Wednesday.

During school holidays, the College Shop will only be open on the first two days of Week 1 (Monday and Tuesday) from 9.00am–3.00pm, and on the last three days of the last week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) from 9.00am–3.00pm.

Prior to school opening in the new year, the College Shop will have full-day hours from 9.00am–4.30pm.

Payment Options

Neither of the College shops (Thistles and second-hand) accept cash payments. Our decision to transition to a cashless system has been led by a natural decline in cash payments, as well as to streamline operational administration tasks, and making transactions more efficient – thereby reducing waiting times for customers.

The preferred payment method in Thistles is for items to be charged to student accounts. Credit cards (except Amex) and debit cards are also accepted.
