Whether your child is new to St Andrew’s College or is continuing from our Preparatory School Ballet Programme – we look forward to welcoming them to our Secondary School Ballet Academy Programme.
To find out more, please contact our Ballet Academy Artistic Director, Dr Carolyn Cairns at ballet@stac.school.nz or call the school to request a return call. You are always welcome to come watch a class in action or take a trial class.
If new to the school in Years 9–11, please contact Dr Cairns to arrange a visit, and if you wish to enrol, a short audition timeslot (a simple series of barre and centre exercises which Dr Cairns will demonstrate for you). This provides an opportunity to observe where you are currently in your training and is also a good chance for you to ask any questions about our Ballet Academy Programme.
Following acceptance, you enrol by completing the school registration documents, selecting ‘Ballet and Dance Studies’ as one of your subject options.
As this course is a school subject, a small term fee ($85.00) is your only additional cost. Extension classes, if you wish to take them, carry small term fees.
